Vintage Vases from Japan, Likely Tominaga Genroku

SEK 1,900

Two fine Asian vases in white with blue decoration. After online research, these are likely two vases by Tominaga Genroku (1859–1920), a prominent Japanese ceramic artist active during the Meiji and Taishō periods. He ran a studio in Ureshino in Saga Prefecture and became particularly famous for building his own kiln to produce 'Genroku-yaki' in 1888. The last two pictures show signatures from Tominaga Genroku on other objects, so you can compare for yourself. Very fine condition! (See pictures) Dimensions: approx. 6.1 in (15.5 cm) Please note: The price is set low because we cannot state 100% that it is Tominaga Genroku.
