A charming pair of vases from Rörstrand in the classic light off-white body Ivory. The vases feature an elegant cylindrical shape with small molded handles and a delicate rococo-style relief pattern. The decoration consists of hand-painted floral bouquets in soft colors framed by hand-painted gold accents along the reliefs. A lovely addition to home decor, perfect for smaller cut flowers. The stamp underneath indicates these vases were produced between 1890–1910. Price is for both vases!
The story of this object
Rörstrand's ware named Ivory is characterized by its warm, creamy white tone designed to imitate ivory. Objects with raised relief and hand-painted floral patterns were produced in the early 1900s and reflect the era's fondness for romantic, historicizing forms and natural motifs.
