Sergijev Posad
Signed 7-Piece Russian Matryoshka Doll, Sergiyev Posad
Hand-painted winter scenes featuring a traditional Russian troika
VAT included. Sold under the margin scheme for second-hand goods — no VAT is shown separately.
This atmospheric matryoshka doll from the historic toy town of Sergiyev Posad consists of seven hand-painted wooden dolls that nest beautifully inside one another. The deep blue background color creates an elegant contrast to the detailed winter scenes, where the largest doll features a classic Russian troika in a snow-covered landscape. The faces are carefully framed by lace-patterned headgear with fine gold details beneath a high-gloss lacquer. A solid and highly decorative craft capturing the warmth of Russian folk art.
