The story of this object
Famille Rose, or the pink family, was introduced in China during the 18th century and is characterized by its distinct color palette where rose-pink enamel colors often play the leading role. Ginger jars and lidded urns in this style quickly became immensely popular export goods and have ever since been appreciated decor and collector's items in the West.
