A classic baluster-shaped porcelain vase from the famous porcelain city of Jingdezhen in China. Richly decorated in polychrome enamel in the Famille Rose tradition, the main motif features magnificent birds and blooming peonies against a white background. The neck and borders are intricately painted with stylized floral scrolls and geometric patterns in pink, turquoise, and yellow. A beautiful interior piece capturing traditional Asian aesthetics.

The city of Jingdezhen is often called the porcelain capital, boasting a history of ceramic production spanning over a thousand years. During the second half of the 20th century, large quantities of porcelain were produced for export, often featuring classic motifs that preserved historical craftsmanship while catering to an international audience.
