A charming porcelain figurine depicting a dancing young couple in muted yet cheerful colors. The boy wears a green Tyrolean hat and the girl has a blue bow in her hair, both captured in a lively movement. Made of glazed porcelain with hand-painted details, standing on a classic white, round base. The mark underneath was used between 1935 - 1972.

The story of this object

Carl Scheidig established his porcelain factory in Gräfenthal, Thüringen in 1906. The factory quickly became known for its affordable and detailed figurines of animals and people, and the brand survived both war years and nationalization during the GDR era.
