Sculptural figurine in molded clear glass designed by Uno Westerberg for Pukeberg. The model, named Familjen, depicts three closely embracing figures in a cubist and stylized form. The glass has a rough, irregular surface that beautifully refracts light and resembles rough ice or rock, a hallmark of the glassworks' production during the era.
The story of this object
Uno Westerberg was associated with Pukeberg glassworks between 1935 and 1978. During the 1960s and 1970s, he created a series of appreciated pieces in this heavy, rustic ice glass style that became very popular in Scandinavian homes.
