auction rules
1. Who may bid
You need a Polar Vintage account with a confirmed email address and a mobile number verified by SMS code, and you must accept these rules. Bids can be placed from any country.
2. Binding bids
Every bid, including max bids, is binding and cannot be withdrawn. The highest bidder when the auction ends has entered a binding purchase at that amount.
3. Bid steps
Minimum increment is SEK 50 up to SEK 700, SEK 100 up to SEK 1,900, SEK 200 up to SEK 3,900 and SEK 500 thereafter. All bids are in Swedish kronor; other currencies are approximate.
4. Max bids
With a max bid the system bids for you automatically, in the smallest step, up to your maximum. If two bids are equal, the earlier one wins.
5. Reserve price
An item may have a hidden reserve price. Until it is met, bids are shown in red with “Reserve price not met”, and the item is not sold if it is not reached.
6. Extension
A bid placed in the final 3 minutes extends the auction by 3 minutes from that bid.
7. Anonymity
Bidders are shown as “Bidder 1, 2 …”.
8. Payment
The winner receives a message and an email with a “Pay and delivery” button and must pay within 4 days of the auction ending. Shipping is added per our shipping terms.
9. Late fee
If payment is not made within 4 days, a late and storage fee of SEK 40 per started day applies, for at most 5 days (SEK 200). The fee is added automatically at checkout.
10. Cancellation
If payment has not been made 9 days after the auction ends, the purchase is cancelled. The winner is then invoiced the accumulated late fee (SEK 200) plus a cancellation fee of 50% of the winning bid.
11. Right of withdrawal
Distance auction purchases are covered by statutory consumer rights to the extent the law requires. See Right of withdrawal.
